Had a wonderful time in Cabarete last month. We were a little worried about the weather, but the week we were there was glorious. The Casa Blanca is in a terrific location - you can walk to the beach and into the downtown core in minutes. The beach is awesome with so much to do. My teenage kids loved boogey boarding in the waves. The town of Cabarete is friendly and welcoming with lots of great shopping. The Casa Blanca is a great place to stay, with friendly staff Juan and Rita. The pool is gorgeous and the gardens are just beautiful. Can't wait to go back!!

The hotel was superb in meeting our needs for a safe, clean, centrally located hotel near the beautiful beach and near
downtown Cabarete. The owners and workers provided us super service even going so far as to deliver a fofgotten passport to us at the airport as we left. We had a group of 2 teachers and 14 students and we were treated to excellent meals, quality service and a family atmosphere. The owners William and Dorothy were most welcoming and did all they could to assist us during our stay. Thanks to them our stay was an enjoyable experience. ps we loved the pool area. the foosball game, TV in the main room and ocean vistas. Great holiday spot and worth the value.

I had an incredible time at the Casablanca ! This was my first time in the DR, and I consider this one of the best vacations I have ever had !!! The hotel was imaculate, inviting, and a totally relaxing place to be ! The owners William and Dorothy were warm and friendly, and went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and memorable. The rooms were clean and had incredible ocean views, and the beach was just minutes away ! The village of Cabarete was so close, and a great place to go sight seeing ! I truly enjoyed every minute of my time at Casablanca, and plan on making this hotel and location a yearly tradition !

We wanted to experience the Dominican Republic without all the trappings of a large self-contained resort. Casa Blanca fit the bill perfectly. It is safe, clean, and picturesque, and is operated by very accommodating hosts. As visitors from the U.S., we liked the fact that we were in the minority here, or at least it felt this way. On the Disney-to-"real place" continuum, Casa Blanca rates a 10 as a real place. And, if you do visit, the on-site, but independently operated, breakfast and lunch restaurant, "Claro", is highly recommended.
You can't beat the hotel's location either. Great access to the beach and an easy walk to the restaurant's and night life in the center of Cabarete.

My husband and I spent 4 nights in Cabarete and decided to stay at Casa Blanca based on its rating here on TA as well as the value - we were NOT disappointed!! The owners are 2 of the nicest people we met during our trip, and everything about this place has such a personal touch. Our studio had a bathroom, bedroom and a kitchen/living area and was more space than we even needed at 1/2 the cost of smaller rooms at neighboring hotels. No TV in our room, but we quickly learned we definitely didn't need it! We felt very safe here and it's far enough away to have peace and quiet but a close walking distance from the bars/clubs/casino. We wouldn't think twice about returning to this hotel for future visits.

I stayed in this hotel with my children, 12 and 8 years old, in January 2009 . We have chosen to stay away from the" 5-stars" , as there is little of real life of community reflected there. My other consideration was , that all-inclusive life style with many examples of waste might be harmful for spiritual growth of my children.
We arrived late at night with delay of few hours due to storm in Puerto Plata. Dorothy, the owner of the hotel greeted us and shared with us their own meal , after she learned we were starving.
We lived in studio"D" with our own kitchen and shower .
We had all basic things for living and , if there was something we needed, Dorothy and William were there for us to provide us with all sorts of tips, advices and tons of little things one requires, when being away from home.

The highlight of this place in my opinion is caring and accomodating attitude of William and Dorothy. It felt like visiting with family.And that we value the most.
